ACPE CE Credit

These courses are from our Research to Practice and our Patient Centered Care lectures series. This list permits individuals seeking ACPE continuing education credit to focus on those courses that are most relevant to their needs.

The Cancer Treatment in North Carolina: Patient Centered Care lecture series covers components of patient-centered health care delivery in cancer treatment and survivorship. The focus of this series is not disease-specific but includes discussion of approaches to improving care delivery for all cancer patients and survivors.

These courses are intended for medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, physician assistants, researchers, pharmacists, trainees, allied health personnel, and others who are interested in care for patients and survivors in North Carolina.

The Patient Centered Care lectures offer the following types of continuing education credits and certificates:

  • 1.0 CNE from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) 
  • 1.0 ACPE contact hour from the UNC School of Pharmacy (on select lectures/courses
  • 1.0 Category A credit from the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT)
  • a general certificate of completion

Cancer Treatment in North Carolina: Research to Practice lectures cover the spectrum of anti-cancer therapy, with a focus on recent research developments, both locally and at large, and what’s ready for regular practice. Perspectives from medical oncology, radiation oncology, and surgery will be included. The lecture series will incorporate an understanding of practice dynamics and concerns throughout the state of North Carolina, and the availability of clinical trials and subspecialty expertise to inform care.

These courses are intended for medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, researchers, pharmacists, trainees, and others who are interested in care of patients with cancer in North Carolina.

The Research to Practice lectures offer the following types of continuing education credits and certificates:

  • 1.0 CME contact hour from the UNC School of Medicine
  • 1.0 American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) contact hour (CNE) from the UNC School of Nursing
  • 1.0 ACPE contact hour from the UNC School of Pharmacy (on select lectures/courses
  • 1.0 Category A credit from the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT)
  • a general certificate of completion
